PRJ-2023-014 Industrial Machinery

Production Line Monitoring System

Challenge

A precision-machining client needed real-time visibility into line throughput, downtime causes and quality reject rates across multiple shifts.

Approach

We deployed a sensor-ingestion service alongside a lightweight web dashboard. Existing PLCs were tapped via OPC-UA; data persisted in a time-series store.

Outcome

Operations gained shift-by-shift visibility. Downtime causes were classified automatically, supporting a measurable reduction in unplanned stops.

PRJ-2022-007 Factory Automation

Inspection Workflow Automation

Challenge

A mid-sized factory ran quality inspection through paper checklists, with results re-keyed into spreadsheets — slow and error-prone.

Approach

We designed a tablet-based inspection workflow with offline capability, structured pass/fail logic, and automated submission to the factory MES.

Outcome

Inspection time per unit shortened materially. Audit trail became digital and queryable, supporting faster root-cause analysis.

Operational Data Consolidation

Challenge

A multi-site operator had data fragmented across three legacy systems, blocking unified KPI reporting at the management level.

Approach

We engineered an extraction layer with mapping rules per source system, persisted to a consolidated reporting schema, with audited daily refresh.

Outcome

A single reporting view replaced three disjoint extracts. Month-end reporting effort was reduced and figures became reconcilable end-to-end.

Independent Technology Selection Review

Challenge

A client preparing a major capital investment needed an independent opinion on competing automation platforms — vendor-neutral, with risk weighting.

Approach

We ran a structured evaluation across six weighted criteria, interviewed reference customers, and produced a written recommendation memorandum.

Outcome

The client proceeded with documented rationale, with risk areas explicitly flagged and mitigations attached to the implementation plan.
